About Brightstar Tuition Centre Singapore
Brightstar is the first tuition centre in Singapore that has specialised spaces for Singapore's mainstream academic curriculum to both
1. Mainstream students and
2. Special needs students with learning difficulties such as (ASD/ADHD/Dyslexia/Dyscalculia/Dyspraxia/Dysgraphia/Speech & Language Disorder),
aged 7 to 18 years, who are cognitively able to access mainstream academic curriculum but require additional support such as smaller class sizes, special accommodations and teaching staff trained in special needs.
We offer a unique blend of academic curriculum and structure for our students. This blended approach is aimed at maximising the potential of the students. Our specially formulated strategies coupled with psychology qualified teaching specialists have allowed the Centre to establish itself as one of the market leaders in special needs education.

Our Approach
1. Nurturing a Love For Learning with knowledge building
“If we succeed in giving the love of learning, the learning itself is sure to follow.”
Naturally, children have an innate curiosity. They are ever ready to explore the world around them, soaking up new information and skills like sponges. This is the curiosity that when nurtured, captured, and directed results in a love of learning. Our primary role of a teacher is to capture this curiosity and ignite the internal fires of learning through fun, interactive and hands-on engagement to connect the dots and empower critical thinking beyond the classroom.
Each week, our teaching specialists carefully design interesting and interactive lesson packages to stimulate active learning especially with global affairs.
2. Preparing Students to be independent learners

We are committed to providing every student with the best strategies to:
- Become self-disciplined learners through classroom routines and procedures.
- Become confident learners to face examination battles independently. Our teaching specialists have been trained in coaching students to impart exam strategies/study skills/test taking behaviour strategies.
- Impart emotional regulation skills
Our teaching specialists are well-equipped to teach students to recognise and regulate their own emotions through the RTACP (Recognise, Teach to assign emotions, Appropriate actions, Coping strategies, Practice) method and ABA therapy to drive emotional and intellectual growth. We are trained to manage challenging behaviours.

Yes! You are right! Our learning spaces are very different from other tuition centres. Our classroom set up is unique and vibrant tailored to students’ needs.
We always emphasise on creating a positive learning space for our students. Our learning spaces have proven to maximise our students’ capabilities to learn.
Each child is unique and uniquely smart! Today’s world no longer accepts one-size-fits-all. It calls for one-size-fits-one.
Our teaching methodologies are differentiated and student centric. We want your child to attain their full potential. Not all learning methods is beneficial for your child. Our teachers are professionally trained to assess the strategies that will benefit your child’s learning.
4. Establishing a strong partnership with parents and guardian

We recognise that a meaningful collaboration with parents/guardians is very crucial for your child to attain success.
It provides a level of consistency between the home and learning environment. The approaches taught in classes must be translated at home to create a routine for your child.
As such, at Brightstar, we communicate with parents on a regular basis and update parents via an e-progress report monthly.
Our aim is to maximise students’ potential through collaboration. Our Teaching Specialists will provide value-added feedback and set SMART goals for your child.
We want you to be involved in your child’s learning journey. Parents, you have the right to know what you are paying us for!
5. We focus on Individualised Academic Progress (IAP)
IAP is designed for students enrolling in our special spaces. The purpose of IAP is to provide a plan to help students to meet individual outcomes or goals beyond his or her current skills. For this reason, an understanding of what a student can and cannot is essential to the Individualised Academic Progress.

IAP Process (Request for IAP)
Students enrolled in the special spaces, need not apply for IAP as it is inclusive in the package
If student is enrolled in the standard space, IAP request must be made during student registration
Student profile will be created upon registration
Academic assessments will be set
Additional $35 (one-time payment) for IAP registration
