Our class sizes are small so that our teaching specialist can provide personalised attention to our students to individualize their feedback, ensuring that each student understands the material, can get the help they need and can reach his or her potential.

Cozy Corner

We have a fitted cozy corner to our standard spaces designed to enhance student’s psychological needs and creative expression. Research has proven that a student’s cognitive potential can only be maximised if his lower order needs are met such as emotional regulation. Emotions has a great influence on attention, learning and memory.

Our class sizes are smaller than the standard class to accommodate to students’ learning differences. Our teaching specialists are dedicated to work closely with every student to provide a customised learning plan to maximise their learning potential.

Integrated Calm down-sensory corner

Being able to calm yourself when emotions run high – or self-regulate – is a learned skill. Our calm down-sensory corner is designed with the sole intent of being a safe space for a child to go to when they feel their emotions are running too high and they need to regain their emotional and physical control. Our overall goal of this corner is to provide the child with a space in which they’ll feel safe recognizing and regulating their emotions in a healthy way.

Regulatory Tools

Our calm down - sensory corner is fully equipped with regulatory tools for students to utilise when their emotions run high. Research has shown that students who are able to regulate their own emotions and possess the ability to control impulses are able to become more independent and improve their cognitive ability. A lack of self-regulation can seriously hinder a child's learning capabilities and the overall classroom environment.

Individualised Academic Progress (IAP)

IAP is customised for students enrolled in the special spaces.

The purpose of an IAP is to provide a plan to help students to meet individual outcomes or goals beyond his or her current skills. For this reason, an understanding of what a student can and cannot do is essential to the Individualised Academic Progress process. Each IAP is individual to the student for whom it is designed. Our Teaching Specialists are highly dedicated to design IAPs to maximise the potential of learners.
